Combahee River
Collective: the CRC was a group of black feminist and Lesbians in the 1970s. They created the term “identity politics” and were founding figures in the movement of “black feminism.”
Raid: military operation during the Civil War. On June 1,2 1863, Harriet Tubman led 150 soldiers in guiding hundreds of people to freedom via ferry on the Combahee River in South Carolina.
